The Dissident Plague has ended our lives. Billions have been lost. The monsters of fate have come for us, and yet all to late we have discovered their weakness.

If we had held onto hope, we could have won. Hope was the key. Without hope, they were insurmountable. This journal entry, should it ever find its way into another person's hands is a warning.
