The Chronicles of Vesper Empty The Chronicles of Vesper

Post by Vesper Sat Jan 16, 2016 11:52 am

Vesper was still searched for members of his own species. It had been nearly a year since he had last seen any:two half-Fury mates who were gradually making the transition into full Dragons. The male had left Vesper somewhat uncomfortable, as if he didn't want the Dragon-born Night Fury around. It was understandable, given that the two half-Furies had just become mates at the time, so he was feeling over-protective. But still, Vesper decided it was best to leave the area and continue his search. Now he was in yet another area of the vast wilderness of Iota that he'd explored many times over in his quest. It was midday and the Night Fury stopped at a small pond to fish.

The Chronicles of Vesper Empty Re: The Chronicles of Vesper

The unexpected is a tricky thing. At times in can attract a lot of attention and other times it goes completely unnoticed. It just so happens a human boldly relaxing in a pond with no care as to the insanely dangerous area she was, was completely missed by even those who traveled nearby her. She floated on her back with her arms behind her head and her wings outstretched to help her keep a float. Her long black hair floated under her head looking like a giant black sea urchin. She stared at the clouds rolling across the sky leisurely taking their time to explore the world with no particular destination in mind. She felt like a cloud right now not just floating on the pond but in life too. Time didn't matter and all that went on around her were of no significance to her. She could greatly effect others if she so chose though. She couldn't help but wonder if the clouds despised their own existence.

Just as a cold wind hitting a warm one causes disaster so to has her careless wandering put her into a dangerous situation. A small but experienced looking dragon walked right up to the pond she floated in. Though she may be immortal it would be childs play for a dragon to take her hostage and torture her for all eternity. She may be numb to life but she was not numb to pain. She lifted her head to look at it but otherwise made no other movements. "Don't suppose you could let me off with a warning?" Selene asked seriously.

The Night Fury was only thinking about food, and thus was oblivious to the figure in the water. And then she spoke. Vesper lifted his head from the pond, a fish hanging out of his mouth as he looked for the voice. He saw the... what was that? Humans didn't normally have wings. "A warning? Why would I give you a warning?" he asked in human tongue.

Selene would have expected the dragon to attack rather than actually say they weren't going to give her a warning or at least that was how Selene interpreted it. "I don't know, was hoping you would be in a good mood and let me get away. I was just trying to relax and then a dragon pops up out of nowhere to doom me. Guess its my own fault for trying to relax here of all places though. Hind sight is 20/20." The black winged angel noticed the fish hanging out of the dragons mouth and came up with a desperate idea. Focusing on one of the fish below she compelled it to swim into her hand and she held it up in the air for the dragon to see. "How about I give you fish and you let me go free?"

Now Vesper was quite confused. Had she been captured by someone, and if so, how could he let her go? He sat down, absent-mindedly chewing on the fish still hanging out of his maw, trying to figure this out. "Is someone holding you hostage?" Vesper asked before looking at the fish she was holding. "I already have a fish, but thank you anyway... Do you know when they'll come back? I could help..."

Selene was most confused now. She debated taking off and escaping now from this seemingly aloof dragon. Wasn't really in her cards though seeing as her wings were all wet. Perhaps this dragon was an infant. Selene didn't really know anything about dragon maturity. Judging by appearance along and ignoring the small size she though maybe it was an adult or at least something old enough to have been raised to toy with humans. That could be it too. Perhaps it was playing some weird game. "Well no. I though you were going to eat me or something." She said right as she began swimming towards the dragon to see how it would react. She kept fish in hand just in case. At the very least it could serve as a distraction for her to do........something. She wasn't sure what.

Selene was oblivious to the other dragon in the area.

The Night Fury watched as the human...? swam toward him. "Why would I eat you? Are you... a fish...?" And then Vesper smelled something. A Dragon. Male. A.... a Night Fury!? Vesper looked all around as he stood, trying to find the other Dragon. It was so close, but where? He let out a call then lifted an ear, frantically listening for an answer.
