Astral did not like Luna's response. She had to keep killing it was the only thing keeping her sane. If she didn't kill then what was she suppose to do. Things were starting to only make sense when she was killing things. It was driving her mad. Astral needed to kill something she needed things to make sense but the only other person around was Luna. Her need for stability though was greater than the need for her friend. Astral knew almost all dragons were cold blooded so she wanted to weaken Luna first. Astral began chilling the area around Luna slowly so that it didn't immediately attract her attention. While she was doing that Astral tried to make conversation to distract her. "We could attack one of the bigger villages or even Draconis." This was a clear indicator that Astral was not right in the head. The Iota races did not attack Draconis simply so the megalo races will keep coming.

Luna raised an eyebrow. "Are you nuts? I'm already hated enough-thank you very much-I don't need any stragglers from a massive village spreading rumors about me. It's easy enough for you, but I don't look like a human-and I would prefer to keep it that way." Luna shivered. "does it feel colder to you?"

Astral glared at Luna she didn't like being reminded of her predicament. Astral was planning on keeping it up to weaken Luna further but Astral was rash in her insanity. Astral had stronger magic than Luna but Luna was physically stronger when Astral was a half dragon. Now that she was just a human the two could not be compared. Astral just wouldn't admit to how much weaker she had gotten. She's even burned herself.

Astral formed a giant ice spike in her hand and tossed at Luna with the aid of telekinesis. "shut up shut up shut up!" Astral screamed out.

Hidden, or not.... - Page 2 Empty Re: Hidden, or not....

He could have been in any one of the shadows in the area. Any of them, at any given time. He was the darkness that crept upon a person when they closed their eyes, the shadow of the ego that held within what they denied outside of themselves. In reality, he had recently started to watch the pair, the drop in temperature marking the moment he arrived. He was cloaked by the trees, by the leaves and not a sound or scent escaped his form. He was something ancient, and they were something knew.

So young. So stupid. So impulsive. The Blue Man could only smile at what seemed to unfold before him. His eyes peered around the tree, his illusions casting more shadows on the ground that the pair, in their distraction, would not immediately notice. He stood within his own darkness and smirked at the unfolding hostility. Then without even a motion he altered the course of the projectile thrown just slightly *enough*. At the very most, the blow it landed-- if it landed one-- would be non-lethal.

His illusion magic was powerful, so powerful that he could even affect hearing. He wasn't entirely sure what exactly was causing the frustration, but he loved every second of it. it was delicious and dramatic, and he would exploit what little of the situation he knew. It was just a copy of the half-dragon's voice, sent fluttering into the ear of the human girl. "Human," the voice accused. "Human. Human. Disgusting, wretched thing." He cast a glance towards the other from his shadows, wondering what he could exploit from her. Maybe... he sent another whisper towards her too.

"You want to see them cower," the voice hissed. This voice sounded like the human girl. "You are just like me." He reveled in his trickery, his smile a dagger gleaming in the black. His eyes were like pits of fire, holes in his skull meant only to contain and show his burning excitement. Why was he here? That was the million dollar question. The Blue Man had recently arrived in Iota on a 'business' venture. He had been travelling with an 'group' of armed men, his entourage. Really, they were all just illusions, no more real than the facade he pretended was his true self.

He wondered the roads and wilds of Iota, using his magic to both harm and confuse the wild beasts. He killed and murdered and devoured them like a true apex predator. Then, he came upon a village. This village, in flames in the distance lighting the Horizen like a grand beacon for him to follow. It was just a short walk away, the cloud of smoke hanging the air acting as his guide. By his count: a mere handful of minutes. How delicious, then: was the human a survivor? By her her dialogue, she was a perpetrator. The same seemed to be implied for her 'companion'.

"My," he uttered to himself. Indeed, how quick to turn on one another these two were. Maybe I can help this along. These two were by far the most interesting people he'd encountered this year. Everybody else was so restrained and uppity, spouting off about morality and ethics. Yet, these two had just committed slaughter and were not yet satisfied with the blood they had taken. He wouldn't let either of them die today. No: he wanted to fan this fire. Maybe, if he played it right, this would grow so large to rage beyond control, and consume Iota in ash.

Luna didn't even flinch as Astral shot an ice shard at her. She sighed, rolling her eyes as she held up her hand. The ice froze in its tracks, glowing blue as Luna used her telekinesis to stop it. She lowered it, putting her hands on her hips. She lifted a brow as Astral's words sounded in her ear, but Astral's mouth didn't move. She thought for a moment it was telepathy, but she could tell. This was different. It felt different. It wasn't telepathy, it was in her ear, nt in her head. She looked around, seeing nothing, then turned her head to Astral, her brow still lifted. "Did you say something?"

Luna avoiding the attack only pissed Astral off more. Astral then used her magic to freeze Luna's blood. Hopefully by now she was too cold to react in time in order to counter the spell. Since the spell used affected the person internally the Blue Man wouldn't be able to stop it. "Will you die already!" Astral yelled out. This would make it clear that Astral wasn't in the right state of mind.

The BlueMan could feel the creeping cold, the air's chill making him smile as he realized that he may not be able to save Luna-- at least not immediately. He could tell this was about to carry on farther and for the moment, though he possessed the abilities to stop 'it' (whatever that may be) he hesitated, wondering instead how far this could carry. He etched onto the tree behind him a rune with his finger, creating ink from his own blood. The rune was a fail-safe, in case something went wrong.

He sent Luna's voice once more towards Astral. "You're becoming more like a human with each passing second," it hissed in Luna's voice. "Look at how far you'll go." He grinned. He wanted this. He wanted the conflict to worsen, and given the girl's temperament she would not only deny these claims but they would enrage her as well. Though, she had something else to worry over. Around her feet, silently, beneath the surface of the earth just a few feet under where she stood, water was focusing. A lot of water. It was extremely hot, and the geyser would rush to meet her soon enough. He found this own's rage interesting. Useful.

Bloodlust in a person who was loyal to him meant he wouldn't have to dirty his own hands with tasks. As for Luna...? Time would tell. She seemed of better conscience, and thus less malleable. He would not be able to manipulate her as easy. She even kept a cool head with an icicle thrown at her... Hopefully, this little Human's next move would be what he was expecting.

In fact, the human in general was curious. A human with such magical potential is nearly unheard of. Why, Blue Man had not encountered one for the last thousand years... he murdered that one for insulting his choice of shoes at the time. Not without credence to the man's opinion. Looking back, he had horrible taste in shoes as he headed through a phase. A little insult turned into a giant battle, and before you knew it they had a small-scale cataclysm on their hands. Blue Man won, but it was a hard fight nonetheless.

"Worthy foe," he whispered to himself. "You once more bear your fangs? I have missed the challenge so, but first to see for certain."

Luna's eyes widened as she froze, her heart pounding a little faster. Despite her predicament, she lifted a brow in worry, confusion, doubt, and disbelief int the slightly sarcastic way, as Astral's comment. There was something very wrong with her friend. She shut her eyes, concentrating. She wasn't very good at magics other than Psychics, but she could warm her blood, though only enough to move slightly, not as much as she would have liked. She sighed as she felt herself thaw, and she quickly stepped out of Astral's range, sagging against a tree. Even that took a lot out of her.

[Maybe Blue Man's tree?]

Hidden, or not.... - Page 2 Empty Re: Hidden, or not....

Luna was a half dragon and so she had powerful innate magical skills and even if they were weaker than Astral's there where still enough that distance became a limiting factor. Luna was able to keep her blood warm enough that she was able to move out of range.

Luna was now cold, slow, and weak. Finishing her off was going to be easy however Luna said something or at least it sounded like Luna that ravaged Astrals mind. Luna was right. Astral was becoming more human. She had taken the humans side and attacked Luna. Who was to say she wouldn't out right help Megalo in their struggle against her own people. Where they her own people anymore. She didn't look it. She wasn't acting like it. Astral fell on her knees and lifted her hands up so she could stare down on them. She stared at her human hands which she had just used to attack her own kind. What was wrong with herself? Astral just continued to kneel defeated by herself. Her breathing was short and quick. She was panicking at her own monstrosity. She was once a proud half dragon and she thought if not in body then in mind, but no longer. She didn't even know what she was now.

Hidden, or not.... - Page 2 Empty Re: Hidden, or not....

Post by Alexander Meadows Wed Feb 05, 2014 10:43 pm

This is shaping up rather interestingly.

Blue Man admittedly was not sure of the exact meaning of his comment to Astral. After all, he had not been present here very long, was at the tail end of an entire chain of events. In fact the chain was ongoing, he had merely been there to observe and connect the most recent link in a story. A thud on the other-side of the tree came from the only being that could have been so defeated: the half-breed. An 'abomination' of sorts, scorned by modern society yet marveled at by the Blue Man. He viewed it as evolution rather than hybridization.

He cast a shimmering sheet of ice beneath his feet and began to sink into it, tossing of a few words as he vanished into the puddle. "I wonder which parent hated you more," he stated in a truly ponderous tone as though his question had no conceit within it at all. In reality, the question was meant to incite. Any attempts to locate him would be meet with failure as he reappeared in a burning house nearby through a mirror.

The sky above began to form dark clouds, and moments later a torrent beset upon the burning village. The flames still rebelled against the angry sky, and only the house the Blue Man was in ceased to burn due in no small part to internal meddling. It smoldered instead, and thanks to his illusion magic would seem to beckon the two of them indoors. He wanted to find out more about these two. A powerful dragon hybrid, and a human who demonstrated advanced skill in magic. What a pair! What a find!

He peered out the window, concealed in a blanket of shadow. Would they take the bait? The rain outside was already forming puddles, and through the reflective glass he could hear whatever conversation they would be having. Two unknowns were becoming known, gradually.

Hidden, or not.... - Page 2 Empty Re: Hidden, or not....

((Hopefully this site wakes up again....))

Luna turned her head upwards as she leaned against the tree, the rain pattering downward through the branches and leaves. One drop made it to her nose. She shook it off, then turned her gaze to Astral. She stumbled forward, still weak from the energy it took to unfreeze herself. She crouched down in front of her distraught friend. "Better?" She asked, still tense and ready to flee should Astral attempt to attack her again.
Luna's gaze was continually drawn to the one house that hadn't gone out yet-the tavern by some weird events-though she tried to keep it on Astral. She finally couldn't take it. There was something wrong here, some magic was keeping it aflame. Curiosity forced her to walk towards it, though caution told her to stay outside. As a compromise, she stood just outside the doorway, peering in intently. She frowned as she noticed the outline of a figure; but nothing more. "Who's there?" She demanded, considering drawing her hood up over her face.
