The Underground Empty The Underground

Post by Astral Thu Apr 20, 2017 11:39 pm

The Underground is a resistance group fighting against the reign of WWG. They are the only group not only to still exist but to actually give the WWG trouble. The under grounds biggest advantage is that is has far more members than WWG the biggest reason for this being WWG is extremely picky about who is accepted. However the WWG's technological superiority is far too overwhelming for The Underground to do anything but hit and run strategical nuisance strikes.

The main reason for The Underground's continued existence and success is due to their exclusive access to wormhole technology. It is designed in such a way that a major majority have no idea how the thing works and is constructed to be impossible to reverse engineer. The down side to this is if the wormdrive takes any damage it can't be repaired stranding the ships occupants. The only ships that have both wormdrives and warpdrives have no room left for cargo, weapons, or anything really making a practical work around impossible. Despite it's flaws it's what has insured The Undergrounds continued survival.

Unlike WWG The Underground isn't very organized. For the most part members communicated with one another on Intel and plans but decide themselves who they want to go with or what operations they want to undertake. There are many who have joined not to fight WWG but because it can pay very well and the atmosphere is considered by many the best out there. Only every once in awhile do the leaders call upon large groups and organize for very important missions but these are few and don't happen very often.

Fixed some spelling and grammar.
